MODULE II: GRANT APPLICATIONS CASE STUDIES

INSTRUCTIONS
To help prepare you as a grant writer, we're going to put you in the role of a grant reviewer. In the following case studies, you’ll have a chance to review and score sections of grants, based on scoring criteria. Through this process, you'll learn the kinds of things that grant reviewers look for, and what they often experience when reviewing grants.

Read each case and assign points to each of the two proposals. As you do, think about why you are making the choices you are making. Why is one proposal better than the other? What could make the weaker proposal stronger? When you've made these decisions, click to the next page using the "Results" button. Here you will find comments about each case and a summary of key points. At the end of this module there is a summary sheet of "Lessons Learned" that you can print for future reference.
